I want to contribute to
humankind's advancement in space.

Since Apollo 11 achieved the first human landing on the Moon, science and technology as a whole have made further advancements, as well space development technology has significantly improved. However, on the other hand, humankind has not been able to set foot on the Moon again, let alone Mars. It must be said that the world has stagnated in terms of manned space development.

That is precisely why I believe our generation has been given the opportunity to make it a reality. Space holds dreams, romance, and mystery, with vast unexplored worlds stretching out in front of us. Recently, there has been a serious decline in children's interest in science, but to counteract this, I believe we should place advancement into space at the core of humankind’s endeavors and actively promote it.

Space Systems Development Corporation was founded in 2005 by a group of like-minded individuals passionate about space, with the aim of promoting and supporting space development from various aspects.

Today, the construction of satellite constellations, which involves the launching of multiple artificial satellites, is progressing rapidly. Nevertheless, to efficiently operate these satellite networks and build sustainable businesses around them, satellite ground systems play a vital role. Our company develops software, particularly focused on areas such as planning, orbit and attitude calculation technologies. In addition to satellites, we are also actively taking on the challenge of developing operational systems for a variety of space vehicles, including rovers, spaceplanes, and deep space probes, leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Then again, the Artemis program, which is being advanced through international cooperation, a crewed exploration mission to return humans to the Moon is currently underway. Regarding manned space technology, which can be said to be the origin of our company's establishment, we have developed a software in resource recycling simulation called “SICLE”, actively engaging in design analysis for lunar and Mars bases, as well as supporting JAXA's ECLSS/GATEWAY research and development, improving the technology maturity of manned space systems, particularly life support systems.

In order to further invigorate such space activities, it is essential to bring more talented individuals into the space industry. Our company started the “Space Human Resource Introduction Service Kakehashi” in 2008, connecting people who wish to work in the space industry with companies in need of talent.

We are also actively engaged in numerous extracurricular activities aimed at promoting humankind's advancement into space. Bringing together individuals dedicated to spacecraft development and making space travel a reality.

Through these activities, our company not only plays a part in pioneering space development, but also continues to strive daily to contribute to earth's environmental issues and advancing SDGs by feeding back space technologies, especially space habitation technologies, into human activities on Earth. We at SSD are committed to taking on the challenge of the infinite universe.
